I've been spending some amount of time expanding my Twitter connections. And yes, I'm openly admitting it. Honestly, I wasn't socialising or following celebrities but trying to make contact with Carers Centres, Care Homes, Carers and people caring for someone with dementia.
Last month, I spent a few weeks at a Day Centre for mature adults, elderly people who lived alone, people lacking full mobility, people with dementia. The stories from carers, wives, husbands, parents, pulled at heart strings.
The amount of information, stories, care studies and discussions etc. on the internet is phenomenal. I'm still researching and collecting information to use when designing new text and resources so if you have a story or something to share, please just let me know ...
I found this article on Dementia Today - a very informative piece.
